666 equals LATEINOS in Greek!!

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. Let those who have insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666."  (Revelation 13:16-18).

The New Testament was written in Koine or COMMON Greek—the universal language of the world during the earthly ministry of Christ....Greek was the language of Christians for at least 4 centuries after the founding of Christianity.

Greek died out in Western Europe after the Fall of the Roman Empire (except in Hibernia), where Saint Patrick introduced the New Testament and the Greek language to that nation.

Jesus so highly favored the Greek language that He calls himself Alpha and Omega 4 times:

"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:18).

The Greeks, like the Romans, did not have Arabic numerals (e.g. 1,2,3,4), so each letter of the Greek alphabet represented a number. Alpha was 1, beta was 2, etc., etc. It is totally useless to try and calculate the number of the beast in any other language but Greek:

LATEINOS is the oldest and most common interpretation of 666!!

Lateinos is the oldest and most common interpretation of the number of the beast. Lateinos signifies Latin MAN or Latin kingdom, and is also the name of the king who founded the Roman state, namely King Latinus.

The oldest writing that survived the last great Roman/Latin persecution is that of Saint Irenaeus who lived from about 120 to 200 A.D. He was a disciple of Polycarp, who was a disciple of the apostle John, who wrote the Book of Revelation:

"For if there are many names found possessing this number, it will be asked which among them shall the coming man bear. It is not through a want of names containing the number of that name that I say this, but on account of the fear of God, and zeal for the truth: for the name Evanthas contains the required number, but I make no allegation regarding it. Then also Lateinos has the number six hundred and sixty-six; and it is a very probable [solution], this being the name of the last kingdom [of the four seen by Daniel]. For the Latins are they who at present bear rule: I will not, however, make any boast over this [coincidence].Teitan too, the first syllable being written with the two Greek vowels e and ?, among all the names which are found among us, is rather worthy of credit. For it has in itself the predicted number, and is composed of six letters, each syllable containing three letters; and [the word itself] is ancient, and removed from ordinary use; for among our kings we find none bearing this name Titan, nor have any of the idols which are worshipped in public among the Greeks and barbarians this appellation. Among many persons, too, this name is accounted divine, so that even the sun is termed Titan by those who do now possess [the rule]." (Saint Irenaeus, Against Heresies, Book V, ch. 29).

Saint Irenaeus mentions 3 names: Evanthas, Lateinos, and Teitan or Titan. The meaning of Evanthas is obscure, but Lateinos is the code word for the Romans. Teitan or Titan was one of the GIANTS of the Greek pantheon of gods like Hercules, Zeus, or Atlas. In the Old Testament, Goliath of Gath was a type of the Antichrist who was to arise in the last days.

"And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.
And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.
And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders.
And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him." (I Samuel 17:4-7).

"Unto the angel of the congregation of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks" (Revelation 2:1).

All the Reformers agreed that 666 meant LATEINOS

The Fathers of the Reformation like Saint Martin Luther, Philip Melanchthon, John Knox, John Foxe, Thomas Cranmer, etc, etc., all agreed that 666 meant the Latin Papacy.

In the following centuries, great luminaries like Joseph Mede, John Napier, Johann Gerhard, Robert Fleming and Sir Isaac Newton etc., etc., were all in agreement as to the identity of Antichrist:

This is a brief commentary on the Mark of the Beast from Revelation chapter 13 written by Sir Isaac Newton during his lifetime and published after his death. It is found on pages 284 and 320 of his magnum opus. The book was first published in London in 1733.

Latin is the official language of the Papacy and the mass was said in Latin until the "changes" of Vatican Council II in 1962. Rejecting the Greek language, they sanction the corrupt Latin Vulgate as the only translation of the Scriptures:

"Moreover, the same sacred and holy Synod,--considering that no small utility may accrue to the Church of God, if it be made known which out of all the Latin editions, now in circulation, of the sacred books, is to be held as authentic,--ordains and declares, that the said old and vulgate edition, which, by the lengthened usage of so many years, has been approved of in the Church, be, in public lectures, disputations, sermons and expositions, held as authentic; and that no one is to dare, or presume to reject it under any pretext whatever." (Council of Trent, Session IV).

Antichrist must come FIRST before the end of the world

In the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John predicted the coming of Antichrist and expounded on his rise, reign and final ruin:

"And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer" (Revelation 6:2-3).

In his epistles, the Apostle John calls this conqueror on the white horse: Antichrist:

"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that ANTICHRIST shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time." (I John 2:18).

In one of the greatest and PLAINEST of the great prophecies of the Bible, St. Paul predicted that 2 things must happen FIRST before the end of the world:

"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth (restrains) that he might be revealed in his time.
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming." (II Thessalonians 2:1-12).

Then he referred obscurely to something mysterious that was hindering or restraining evil and holding back the revelation of the Man of Sin.

According to the Apostle Paul, the believers KNEW perfectly well what was withholding or restraining the manifestation of the Man of Sin. It was no mystery to them. Jesus had already told them that they were the SALT of the earth and the LIGHT of the world:

"Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men." (Matthew 5:13).

And again:

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house." (Matthew 5:14).

Believers in Christ were restraining evil

Beginning in the year 303, the Roman Empire launched a persecution against Christianity which lasted 10 years. It is called the last great pagan persecution of the Congregation.

Millions of Christians were killed, and the main target of the pagans was the New Testament . . . and the histories of Christ....All of the great books portraying the Mount of Olives as the site of the Resurrection of Christ were systematically destroyed along with all the books showing the change of the Sabbath from the 7th day to the 1st day of the week.  

Even the books written against Christianity by pagan authors were destroyed, because they would reveal a lot about the doctrines and practices of Apostolic Christianity.

This was the removal by persecution and death of the restraint or hindering power and the stage was set for the emergence of the Papal Roman Empire with Constantine as the first Pope!!

The only non-Biblical author whose work survived was Eusebius of Caesarea, and he preserved MOST of his works by flattering or praising Emperor Constantine!!

Many Christians found a refuge in the lands beyond the Roman Empire such as Persia, India and China... British Christians found a refuge in Caledonia, and 60 years later, St. Patrick was born by the banks of the River Clyde.

Anti means substitute or surrogate

The word anti as used in the Greek New Testament means substitute or surrogate. Of course someone who steals another person's identity and pretends to be that person is obviously an enemy of that person.

In Strong's Concordance, anti means substitute, in room of, or instead of:

473. anti, an-tee'; a prim. particle; opposite, i.e. instead or because of (rarely in addition to):--for, in the room of. Often used in composition to denote contrast, requital, *substitution*, correspondence, etc.

"But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room (Greek, anti) of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee"(Matthew 2:22).

An example of how anti is used this way can be found in the words type and antitype, which are used with respect to Bible prophecy. The "type" is the pattern or symbol, and the antitype is the fulfillment. The Jewish Passover was a "type" and the crucifixion of Jesus is the "antitype" or fulfillment of the example of the type. You substitute the antitype into the symbolism of the type to arrive at the complete meaning:

Many times in the history of the Papacy there have been ANTIPOPES....These ANTIPOPES were not atheists who sought to abolish the Papacy, but men who were rivals of the then reigning Popes, and claimed that they were the legitimate Popes.

ALL the Popes claim to be God Almighty on earth!!

In the Roman Canon Law, ALL of the Popes are DOGMATICALLY DECLARED to be God Almighty upon the earth....Obviously when you are God Almighty, your word is LAW, and you are the final judge in all matter spiritual and temporal.

Here is a quote from this expert on the official teachings of the Vatican and Roman Catholic Canon Law::

"But since We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty, who will have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, and now that Our advanced age and the bitterness of anxious cares urge Us on towards the end common to every mortal, We feel drawn to follow the example of Our Redeemer and Master, Jesus Christ, who, when about to return to heaven, implored of God, His Father, in earnest prayer, that His disciples and followers should be of one mind and of one heart." (Great Encyclical Letters of Pope Leo XIII, p. 304).

The symbolism or imitation is so complete right down to the triple crown. In the Book of Revelation, Jesus is seen wearing many crowns:

"His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself." (Revelation 19:12).

The TIARA represents the temporal power of the Pope!!

The triple crown or TIARA that the Pope still wears represents the temporal power . . . and is as vital to the Latin kingdom as the Papacy itself!!

Therefore, they can never relinquish their dream of getting their fallen kingdom back.

The 3 kingdoms that were uprooted from central Italy to make way for the temporal power were:

These wars lasted for CENTURIES and oceans of blood were shed to obtain the temporal power....This was the fulfillment of the rise of the LITTLE HORN found in Daniel chapter 7:

"I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things." (Daniel 7:8).

"And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows." (Daniel 7:20).

The Pope's Law is called Codex Juris Canonici

Obviously when you are God Almighty upon the earth, you can lay down the LAW to mere earthling or humans....You can even make SLAVES of them if you are a malevolent DEITY.

The Popes try to rule their earthy kingdom through their legal system known as the Code of Canon Law or in Latin: Codex Juris Canonici. Most of it is still locked up in medieval Latin and for the eyes of the hierarchy only.

Every facet of human life . . . from the cradle to the grave . . . is covered in their Code, and it is a separate legal system to the legal systems of most countries of the world.

In every country in the world where the Roman hierarchy is established, there are 2 legal systems, one claiming superiority and jurisdiction over the other.

The Pope alone is the source of all of this Canon Law according to the authoritative Elements of Ecclesiastical Law written by a Roman Catholic canonist with an Imprimatur from the Roman Catholic bishop of Newark:

There you have it, an absolute DICTATORSHIP ruling the world in the name of Christ. Rome's Canon Law is DIAMETRICALLY opposed to the U.S. Constitution and the laws of most countries of the world.

Every facet of the U.S. Constitution is condemned by the Canon Law!!

Everything we take for granted under the U.S. Constitution is CONDEMNED by the Roman Canon Law....Freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, trial by jury, innocent until proven guilty etc., etc. are anathema to the Pope and his Canon Law.

JEHOVAH is a LAWGIVER!!

JEHOVAH—the real God of the universe—does not use a substitute or share His throne with anybody:

"I am the LORD (JEHOVAH): that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images." (Isaiah 42:8).

When JEHOVAH led His people out of Egyptian bondage, the first thing he gave them was a LEGAL SYSTEM:

"And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this LAW, which I set before you this day?" (Deuteronomy 4:8).

JEHOVAH did give his LAW to the Israelites in some obscure or DEAD LANGUAGE and command Moses to keep it a secret from all but a select few:

"And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very PLAINLY."( Deuteronomy 27:8).
